Mike Schoettle joined LASVP in 2008. He teaches career planning to the Executive MBA’s at Loyola Marymount University and is active with the Tech Coast Angels, a Southern California investor group. In 1999 Schoettle retired from Heidrick & Struggles, a global executive search firm, where he was a partner in the Los Angeles Office for 23 years. Prior to that he worked for at Xerox Corporation in marketing and sales management positions. Schoettle is an active sailor and has held a number of leadership positions in the sport of sailing, including Director of Yacht Racing at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles and Team Leader of the US Olympic Yachting Team in 1992. He was a member of the United States Olympic Teams in 1952 and 1972. He graduated from Yale University in 1958 and Harvard Business School in 1963, and he was an officer in the U.S. Navy between college and business school. |
