Anne has been an LASVP partner since January 2007, having spent her entire 30-year career in public education. Initially, she had become involved as a graduate student in the Children's Research Center at the University of Illinois and later served as a staff member. After her move to the West Coast, she joined the Madison School Project in Santa Monica. Affiliated with UCLA, the group explored new avenues to educating handicapped students. Upon its termination, Anne continued for many years as a Resource Specialist with the Santa Monica Schools.

Anne has also served on the board and as College Coordinator wtih the Partnership Scholars Program, an educational foundation devoted to mentoring and supporting disadvantaged students from middle school through high school with the goal of helping them gain acceptance to a four-year university.
