Richard Landers has been an LASVP Partner since June 2004. He is a volunteer director on the board of LASVP.

Richard has spent his professional life in the analysis of public and business policy and strategy issues, first with the U.S. State Department, and subsequently for various business organizations. In the mid 1980s he co-founded a management consulting firm focused on the energy industry, and in 1995 he and his partners transitioned to private equity investments. He has served on several boards of directors of public and private companies.

Having grown up in a family of teachers, Richard has a strong belief in the personal and societal importance of education.
