Jim Klein was born in New York City and is an alumna of the Horace Mann School. He graduated from Kenyon College in 1981 with a degree in History and later settled in Southern California. Since 1982, he has been involved with industrial real estate in the greater Los Angeles area serving large manufacturing and warehousing clients from throughout the United States. His specialty includes large land sites, tear downs, and redevelopment throughout the region.

Jim was Past President of the Broadway Rosecrans Industrial Commercial Association (BRICA), an association of property owners and tenants in a significant industrial corridor of Los Angeles County. He recently served as President of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) Los Angeles Chapter and is currently Vice Chair of the Society’s National Education Committee. SIOR is an international organization whose members are some of the most elite professionals in the industry.

Jim resides in Santa Monica with his wife Jane, and daughter, Elizabeth. He is very active and enjoys tennis, swimming, or running almost daily. His interests include reading, writing, music, and fitness. Jim also enjoys foreign travel and speaks Spanish. Jim has been an LASVP Partner since April 2006.
