The Annenberg Foundation Presents the 2011 Alchemy Leadership Seminar

Alchemy is the Annenberg Foundation’s most recent investment in strengthening Los Angeles nonprofits. Alchemy is focused on building the capacity of small to midsized nonprofits and their leaders and aligning the Executive Director and Board Chair in common purpose. The program includes a substantive curriculum, peer learning, mentorship, and opportunity to progress through the program to Alchemy+, which includes learning communities, technical assistance, and a small grants program. The Annenberg Foundation is currently accepting applications to the 2011 cycle of Alchemy Leadership Seminar through November 30, 2010. The three days of training are offered free of charge and training sessions will be offered in January, February, and March, 2011. There is a rolling acceptance policy and space is limited, so interested nonprofits should sign up as soon as possible.
Eligibility Information
- Enrollment is open to all types of nonprofit organizations with operating budgets of up to $2 million serving Los Angeles County.
- Preference is given to those organizations serving high-need communities, or operating in neighborhoods that are under-capitalized in terms of their nonprofit infrastructure.
- Alchemy's theory of change focuses on building the capacity of small to midsized nonprofits and their leaders by aligning the Executive Director and Board Chair in common purpose as they try to take their organization to the next level. Therefore attendance by both the Executive Director and Board Chair is mandatory at all three days together.
