LA Diaper Drive
Food stamps, WIC, and other government assistance programs do not provide diapers, leaving 1 in 3 American moms struggling to provide them. L.A. Diaper Drive meets this fundamental need by distributing diapers to low-income families through 22 non-profit organizations that use the free diapers as an incentive to draw parents to parenting, life skills, GED prep, and other life-improving classes. This way, L.A. Diaper Drive both meets an immediate need and helps to end the cycle of poverty.
LA Diaper Drive was founded in 2003 by Caroline Kunitz and Melissa Ratcliff, women with philanthropic hearts and a shared passion for social change. Since then, LA Diaper drive has given away over 3 million diapers, making it the second largest diaper bank in the United States.
